What is HarmonyOS?
HarmonyOS is based on an operating system architecture that is distributed across different devices for work and is part of the strategy for all Huawei scenarios. This new operating system is customizable for a mobile office, fitness and health, media, entertainment and more.

At HDC 2020, Richard Yu, CEO of the Huawei Consumer Business Group, confirmed that HarmonyOS 2.0 will be available for smartphones in early 2021. Currently, Huawei has released the HarmonyOS 2.0 Beta SDK for developers, which includes smart TVs, main units of cars, and smart wearables. Followed by the smartphone SDK in December 2020. September 10, 2020 – Devices with 128 KB to 128 MB RAM
April 21, 2021 – Devices with 128 MB to 4 GB RAM
October 2021 – Devices with 4 GB to more than 4 GB RAM. Huawei plans to install HarmonyOS 2.0 on more than 200 million devices by the end of 2021. These devices will not only come from Huawei but also from its partners and will be mainly based in China.
When will we see HarmonyOS on smartphones?
