Qualcomm surprised everyone this year with the introduction of the Snapdragon 870 SoC. This special chipset is an “economical” alternative to the Snapdragon 888. Of course, its price isn’t the same as a mid-range chipset, but it’s cheaper than its most popular brother. The new chipset is basically an overclocked Snapdragon 865+, but instead of calling it the Snapdragon 865 ++, Qualcomm has decided to market it under the name Snapdragon 870. With this chipset, businesses can lower the price of certain phones without sacrificing performance. Motorola was the first brand to introduce it with the Motorola Edge S, but Oppo seems to be following suit with its Oppo Find X3.
The Chinese company is preparing to launch the Oppo Find X3 series, which consists of several smartphones. Rather than launching the Oppo Find X3 and Oppo Find X3 Pro with similar specs, the brand uses separate chipsets for each. According to lists of benchmarks that have been revealed, the Oppo Find X3 will have the Snapdragon 870 chipset, the Oppo Find X3 is expected to come with the Snapdragon 888. The family will also get an Oppo Find x3 Neo and a Find X3 Lite, but these are mostly mid-range rewards for phones based on other existing devices.
The Oppo Find X3 comes with a Snapdragon 870 SoC in combination with 8 GB / 256 GB and the Android 11 operating system
The information comes from two listings of AnTuTu and AIDA64 benchmarks that show that the device has the model number PEDM00. The listings show the chipset, code-named Kona. This code name is usually associated with the Snapdragon 865. One of the attached images shows the “About” section of the device, which shows that it is running on the Snapdragon 870 platform. As mentioned above, the Snapdragon 870 has the same architecture as the Snapdragon 865, so the benchmark lists give it the Kona designation.
The Find X3 with Snapdragon 870 also has 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. We assume that the brand will also bring other RAM / memory variants. The phone is running ColorOS 11.2 on Android 11. The screen resolution is 2,412 x 1,080 pixels. This is in line with rumors that only the Find X3 Pro will have QHD + resolution. The standard model will have the good old FHD + resolution. A 12.6 MP camera sensor is also mentioned in the list.

We hope that more details will be known in the coming weeks. After all, there are rumors that the Find X3 series will launch in March.
